We have a pair of Wahlberg eagles nesting outside our tent house. What a daily reminder they are of God’s provision, creativity and strength.

We were especially blessed with a donation from our local church in Paarl to enable urgent maintenance and renovation work to be done, on the base campsite and workshop, at the grounds of the Children’s Homes and at the church building site. To those of you who give and pray, you are making such a difference for the Kingdom of God in Western Zambia.

This month saw Carine doing home visits with Connie to follow up on reports of neglected children in Mongu itself. We are working with a couple from church to see they get school placement, uniforms and follow up.

She also took groups of youngsters from the Homes to the Town library, what an eye opener for them.

Carine was also active in helping with the outside improvements until she realized there were more than 60 curtains for the cottages needing to be sewn inside!

Kevin kept all the vehicles operational and then put his creative skills to work by building metal and wooden workbenches and shelves for the workshop. Now he no longer needs to work from the floor.

He also welded all the channels for the sound system wiring at the church building as well as making a cover for the Baptismal font.

He put up walkway lights, supervised water pipe and tap installations, fixed wheel chair tyres and hung curtains.

Project News

It has been all systems go to prepare the new church building and what an encouragement to see the old  the youth and the young all volunteering day in and day out to help. A wonderful sense of community and purpose enjoyed by all amidst the dust, bricks and planks.

Successful reports came in all month too from village ministry trips where God’s word is taught and shared.

The school children were on holiday and it was great to see some of the teenage boys from the homes join in with village ministry and music ministry.

We enjoyed visits and encouragement from our board members Dave and Gen Weber from Windhoek, Annalie Cable Hope Church Wilderness Heights, as well as input from Laura Maceny Missions Director Church of the Highlands USA.

Please enjoy the clips that follow from VOH, the Zambia Project and our son Cameron’s water videos.

Every Blessing Always and please continue praying for the Lozi people in Western Zambia.

Thank you to each one of you reading this for your contribution to our time here.
